A new poster for Kurt Vile for his Minneapolis show at Mill City Nights in support of his new album, “b’lieve I’m Going Down”. Prints, including a couple signed by Kurt are available in my etsy shop. 18 x 24, four color screen print on heavyweight dark navy stock.
It was fortunate to work on a poster for Ray Lamontagne when he played Northop in Minneapolis last week in support of his new album, Supernova. The poster is an 18 x 24 three color screen print (tan, dark brown and white) on French Poptone Snocone and was inspired by the song Airwaves on the new album. Prints are available in my etsy shop.
The AIGA MN design show showcases some of the best work from the incredible design community in the Twin Cities, so it’s always quite humbling to get some work in the show. I was fortunate enough to get 5 of my posters included this year and even got a congratulatory tweet from one of the judges. The posters were for the bands, Nada Surf, Destroyer, Sea Wolf (2012), Sea Wolf, (2013), and Junip. A big thanks to AIGA MN and the judges for selecting my work. Check out all the great work from the show on the show’s site.
Jose Gonzalez is one my favorite musicians and his band Junip released one of the best albums of 2013 earlier this year. Naturally, I was very excited to be able to collaborate with them on a gig poster for their show at The Cedar in Minneapolis. The poster is an 18×24, four color screen print ( gray, white, yellow and blue) on 100#C French Construction Blacktop. A limited number are for sale at the paypal link above or in my etsy shop.
A couple months ago, I had the opportunity to design a gig poster for Sea Wolf’s show at The Cedar in Minneapolis. It was a great show and I got to meet Alex too, who is an extremely nice guy. The print is an 18×24 three color screen print (black, off-white, and yellow ink) on 100# Charcoal Brown French Construction stock. Prints are available for purchase at my etsy shop.
The Rural Alberta Advantage gig poster I designed was awarded a Silver pin at The Show. The Show is AdFed’s annual award show featuring the best in Twin Cities advertising and design. It’s an honor to be recognized, especially given the huge amount of talent in the Twin Cities advertising and design community. Special thanks to The Show, The Rural Alberta Advantage and The Cedar Cultural Center.
