I recently had the opportunity to work with one of my favorite artists, José González , on a gig poster for his two night stint at The Cedar in Minneapolis. The design was heavily influenced by his new amazing album, “Vestiges & Claws”. 18 x 24 two color screen print (dark gray and white) on 100#C French Berrylicious.
I’m extremely excited and honored to have my Sea Wolf gig poster included in the 2014 Communication Arts Design Annual. I still view the CA Design Annual as the best showcase of graphic design and it’s humbling to have my work included among the amazing work of so many designers that I respect. New poster for Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s show with Bass Drum of Death at The Cedar in Minneapolis. These guys put out one of my favorite records this year, so and it was great not only to work with them on a poster but also to see them play. The poster is an 18 x 24, five color screen print ( 3 shades of blue, dark gray and transparent white) on heavyweight off-white stock (French Construction 100#C whitewash). Jose Gonzalez is one my favorite musicians and his band Junip released one of the best albums of 2013 earlier this year. I recently partnered with the band Destroyer on a gig poster for their show with Sandro Perri at The Cedar in MPLS. The design was inspired by their excellent 2011 release, “Kaputt”. The print is an 18 x 24 four color screen print (black, white and 2 gray inks) on heavyweight light gray stock (French Construction Grout Gray 100#C).
